Military Spouse Leave AB392 requires some employers to provide unpaid leave to employees with spouses in the military. Currently in effect	Earned Income Tax Credit AB650 requires some employers to notify employees of possible elegibility for the Earned Income Tax Credit. Effectiive January 1, 2008
Employers' Use of SSNs Restricted Public postings of Social Security numbers among AB3082 restrictions. Effective January 1, 2008	Computer Professional Rate Lowered SB929 lowers the hourly minimum compensation from $41 to $36. Effective January 1, 2008
Temporary Disability Payments Modified AB338 removes the requirement that the TD benefits be collected within two years of the first date that TD is paid. Effective January 1, 2008	Cell Phone Restrictions - Hands Off SB1613 states that those caught talking on a hand-held cell phone while driving will be fined up to $50 per violation. Effective July 1, 2008
Civil Rights Act of 2007 AB14 extends civil rights protection to additional circumstances, entitling all people in California to full and equal accommodations, advantages, facilities, privileges or services.	Domestic Partnership and Marriage License AB102 Makes it easier for one or both parties ina domestic partnership to change their names
Amusement Ride Safety SB783 Increases insurance amount that ride operators must carry, tightens accident-reporting requirements, requires safety training	Workers' Compensation SB869 gives the Labor Commission power to identify unlawfully insured employers
Health Care and Whistleblower Protection AB632 prohibits discriminatin or retaliation against a whistleblower in the health care industry	Prohibited Discrimination Public and Private Education SB777 revises the list of prohibited bases of discrimination
Pharmacists and Alternative Workweek SB812 resolves a Wage Order inconsistency, clarifying the terms and conditions of creating an alternative workweek	Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly AB949 requires care facilities to take measures to transfer residents safely and with minimal trauma
HIPPA AB1302 extends the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act's durationt toJuly 10, 2010
