Instructional Designer (Part-Time)
CEA is looking to hire a part-time experienced instructional design professional with a background in design and training for up to 20 hours per week. This role will include developing design templates for onsite trainings, webinars, and virtual meetings that cover essential skills, compliance, and leadership for employers in CA. You will also have the opportunity to deliver training and help employers tackle challenges and build stronger workplaces.
Whether you’re a retired instructional designer or simply someone who prefers meaningful part-time work over the 9-to-5 grind, this opportunity offers flexibility, impact, and balance. This position begins as a hybrid role during the training period, transitioning to a primarily remote role with travel as needed.

In this role, you will:
- Design dynamic and engaging compliance and leadership courses: Sample of training topics include Wage and Hour, Harassment Prevention, Leaves of Absence, Coaching to Success, Conflict Management, and Effective Communication
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts within CEA through the content development lifecycle
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver training as needed
- Review and update existing learning materials for accuracy and impact
- Stay current with trends in instructional design, learning technologies, research, and print solutions
